She didn’t plan for the spotlight, but it found her anyway. In this special MOVER cover story, emerging model Celeste shares how an unexpected photo shoot became the start of something bigger. Celeste, you are stepping into the fashion world with a fresh perspective and presence. What inspired you to begin this journey, and how are you shaping your direction as a model today?
I never seriously considered modeling until I stepped in to help with a photo shoot. I was nervous at first, but as soon as we started, something clicked. I felt completely in my element. That experience opened my eyes to a path I hadn’t imagined. Since then, I’ve been learning, developing my style, and growing with every project. Modeling has become a space where I discover more about myself each time I step in front of the camera.
As a newcomer building your portfolio and online presence, how do you approach developing your image and connecting with industry professionals?
I’m just beginning to build my presence online and see it as a way to share both my work and who I am beyond the camera. Through platforms like Instagram and TikTok, I’m exploring how to show my journey, from behind-the-scenes to everyday moments. Every shoot is a chance to grow and express something new, so I stay open to different ideas while shaping my own style. At the same time, I value the relationships I build on set. Modeling is a team effort, and I try to bring a positive, grounded energy to each project while connecting with people who inspire me.
You have been selected to represent Korea at Miss Europe Continental. What does this opportunity mean to you, and how are you preparing for the experience both personally and professionally?
When I was asked to represent Korea at Miss Europe Continental, I was overwhelmed. I was still new to modeling and filled with doubt, but that quickly turned into gratitude. It is an honor and a powerful motivation to keep growing. For me, this is more than a competition — it’s a chance to connect with people from around the world and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I’ve been preparing through runway practice, fitness, and mindset work, staying focused, grounded, and ready to bring my best self to the stage.
How do you see your background and individuality influencing your work as a model, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes?
For me, modeling goes beyond the camera. Once you’re part of a project, you’re part of the whole process — from planning to final delivery. Collaboration and communication matter just as much as posing. I try to understand the vision behind each shoot and express it in a way that feels personal. It’s not about just following direction, but bringing something of myself to the work. I hope my attitude reflects that. I stay open, grounded, and kind with everyone on set, aiming to create an experience that’s just as meaningful as the final result.
Are there specific types of modeling that interest you most at this stage, such as runway, editorial, or commercial work? What do you feel drawn to creatively?
Most of my experience has been in commercial modeling and I love the process. Understanding a brand’s story and bringing it to life through my own perspective makes the work feel meaningful. Still, I’m open to exploring all areas — editorial, runway, or more creative concepts. What matters most to me is when a project allows space for emotion, storytelling, and self-expression while staying true to who I am.
What do you enjoy most about the modeling process, and how are you learning to express mood, movement, and story during shoots?
What I enjoy most is seeing the team happy with the final result. That’s when I feel proudest. I prepare by practicing poses and learning what suits me best — sometimes, the simplest ones have the most impact. Before each shoot, I like to plan a general idea so I feel confident and focused. When I’m relaxed, I can be present and express the story more naturally. I believe even the smallest emotions show up on camera, so a positive mindset really matters.
Building a career in modeling takes more than appearance. How are you developing the mindset, discipline, and skills needed to grow in the industry over time?
Modeling is just as much about mindset as it is about appearance. I focus on staying consistent, open to feedback, and always learning. Instead of chasing results, I try to enjoy the process and grow with each step. For me, the most meaningful path is one that stays true to who I am while always evolving.
Celeste is still at the start of her journey, but her vision is already clear. With every new shoot, she’s not just posing for the camera, she’s shaping her story one frame at a time. And if there’s one thing she’s proving, it’s that authenticity never goes out of style.
