Eric Dalakyan is a young and successful stylist and model who has been working with leading global brands and designers for over 7 years. At 26, he has become a prominent figure in the fashion and styling industry, uncovering the uniqueness of each client and helping them highlight their individuality. In this interview, Eric shares what he offers his clients and what happens behind the scenes of his work.
Eric, tell us how you entered the world of styling and modeling?
My life has always been connected to the world of fashion. I started becoming interested in style and visual culture as a teenager. Over time, this passion turned into my main focus, and I decided to pursue a career in this field. For me, style is not just about clothing; it’s a way to tell the story of a person, their life, values, and aspirations. I’m proud that for the past 7 years I’ve been working with global brands, and now I live and work in Dubai, where I collaborate with true professionals in the industry.
What do you consider to be the main principles of your work?
For me, the most important thing is not just choosing clothes, but creating an image that truly reflects the client’s personality. My work always has a deep focus on the person’s values, preferences, and unique features. When styling, I focus on making sure that the client feels confident, stylish, and most importantly, comfortable. I’m always aiming to create not just beautiful looks, but to help my clients feel in harmony with themselves, effortlessly.
What do your clients gain by working with you?
Working with me, clients gain not just professional styling or modeling advice. They get the opportunity to reveal their true essence through style, highlighting their unique traits. I always listen carefully to each client, taking into account their preferences, lifestyle, and desires. My goal is to help the person not just follow trends, but create their own individual style that will remain relevant in the future. My clients can also expect personalized advice on appearance, wardrobe selection, and creating looks for special occasions.
What gets revealed when working with you?
Working with me, a person reveals their individuality. Style is a tool to show the world who you are without saying a word. I help clients understand which features of their appearance should be emphasized and which details of their look can reflect their inner world. Often, interesting discoveries happen during the process: many start to see new traits in themselves that were previously hidden behind their usual clothing. And this discovery is not only for others, but also for the person themselves. It’s important to understand that style is not just about appearance, but about inner harmony.
What special features of working in Dubai would you highlight?
Dubai is a unique city with a special atmosphere and a blend of different cultures. Here, Eastern exoticism and Western style merge. Working here, I interact with an incredibly diverse client base, from international stars to locals, and I’m always excited to work with such a varied audience. This gives me the opportunity to create very unconventional and interesting looks that reflect both global and local trends. It’s also worth noting that in Dubai, there is a strong culture of beauty and image, which leads to a large number of exciting projects and collaborations.
What do you think is the most important thing in styling and modeling?
The most important thing is the ability to read a person and see beyond their appearance, their inner world. Fashion trends are important, but they should never overshadow individuality. I always strive to create an image that reflects a person’s uniqueness, their mood, and personal preferences. Professionalism and attention to detail are also key — it’s from these small touches that the perfect look is born.
Eric, thank you for your time! Any advice for those just starting their journey in styling and modeling?
The most important thing is to be genuine and believe in what you do. Fashion and style are not just about looks and brands; they are an art form, creating something real and meaningful. Don’t be afraid to experiment, search, and create something new. And of course, remember that style is always about you, and it should reflect your inner state and individuality.
