What motivated you to transition from studying law to pursuing a career in modeling?
Since childhood, I’ve dreamed of becoming a lawyer like my father and enrolled in the Faculty of Law. However, I always walked with a catwalk gait, leading everyone at school to believe I intentionally maintained a straight stride. Before university, my interest shifted to Instagram, where I posted photos posing as a model. I quickly gained a significant following in my city and became recognizable on the streets. I enjoyed the attention and soon received invitations for advertisements in the capital and even offers for acting roles in films. Unfortunately, due to my studies, I couldn’t pursue acting. During my university years, I came to the realization that law wasn’t my true calling. Feeling a strong inclination towards modeling, I made the decision to leave university in my third year. I firmly believe in following one’s genuine passions rather than conforming to societal expectations.
How did your legal background influence your approach to the fashion industry?
My legal background gives me the confidence to sign contracts with agencies, ensuring I understand all the terms and conditions.
What kind of training and classes did you undertake to hone your modeling skills?
I attended a modeling school after moving to the capital. Despite being busy with my studies, I completed a three-month course and earned a certificate. It was an enjoyable and valuable experience, even though I had little time to work.
What were some of the biggest challenges you faced during your transition from law to modeling? How did you stay resilient in the face of these challenges?
The biggest challenge was dealing with criticism from the university and the immense pressure I felt, which made it difficult to focus on both my studies and modeling. I had to abandon Instagram, work, and training during this period. I was afraid of leaving university, worried about disappointing my loved ones, especially my grandmother. Ultimately, I decided to follow my own path because I believe we are the creators of our own lives.
What or who inspires you to keep pushing forward in your career?
My desire to gain popularity and make a unique contribution to the world drives me. I aspire to reach significant heights in modeling and eventually establish my own modeling agency. I aim to empower girls to embrace their beauty and uniqueness, emphasizing that being a successful model hinges not on specific measurements or height, but on passion and determination.
What are your goals for the future, both in modeling and beyond?
I aspire to achieve global renown as a model, despite my height of 1.65 meters. Following this achievement, I intend to establish a modeling school. Subsequently, I will contemplate completing my university degree or pursuing new areas of learning. Establishing a family is also a priority for me, as I deeply believe in love and hope to find my life partner.
