Your journey spans celebrity red carpets, couture runways, and luxury weddings. When did you first realise that beauty artistry would become your life’s passion?
My journey into beauty artistry truly crystallized under the mentorship of renowned celebrity makeup artist Daniel Bauer and through experiences with remarkable personalities, from athletes like Saina Nehwal to actors Siddharth Karnick, Ishwak Singh, Himansh Kohli, and culinary icon Vikas Khanna. Working on transformative projects such as the Ambanis’ pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, the Dior show in Mumbai, and campaigns for brands like Canon, Hero, Typsy Beauty, Nafs India, Godrej Professionals, and even international labels like WestxEast, allowed my creativity to flourish. Collaborations with designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Anamika Khanna, Rahul Mishra, and features in Vogue and other premier publications reinforced my passion for elevating beauty and storytelling through makeup and hair. Each experience has fueled my desire to transform faces while staying true to individual elegance.
You have worked with icons across fashion and entertainment. Is there a moment or project that felt like a turning point in your career?
The Dior show was undeniably a pivotal moment, an extraordinary platform to showcase my craft on a global stage. Another defining milestone was being recognized with the ‘Super Woman’ certificate by Sushmita Sen, which was deeply humbling. And of course, styling for the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations opened doors to unprecedented opportunities, firmly establishing my presence in luxury and high-profile circles.
You are known for creating glamorous yet effortlessly natural looks. How would you describe your signature style in makeup and hair?
I champion a style that celebrates natural beauty while infusing subtle glamour. My approach is about refinement, enhancing features with understated yet impactful touches. Makeup is thoughtful, precise, and tailored, while hair embraces texture and elegance, balancing sophistication with approachability. My signature lies in creating looks that make clients feel radiant, confident, and effortlessly themselves.
From high-fashion editorials to destination weddings, how do you stay creatively inspired across such a diverse range of projects?
Inspiration comes from immersion, whether it’s the client’s story, the project’s theme, or the locale’s essence. Editorials allow me to experiment, push boundaries, and bring artistic visions to life. I draw from art, music, nature, and collaborations with designers and brands, transforming these influences into fresh, bespoke looks that are both contemporary and timeless.
Bridal beauty is such a personal part of your work. What is your approach to making every bride feel like the best version of herself?
Every bride is a narrative, and my role is to honor it. I listen, observe, and understand her style, personality, and aspirations. From traditional to modern aesthetics, I craft bespoke looks that enhance her natural features while reflecting her individuality. Being part of such intimate, transformative moments is both a privilege and a responsibility I cherish deeply.
With so much experience on set, what is your favourite part of working backstage at major fashion events?
It’s the pulse of the backstage, the electrifying energy, and the meticulous choreography, as designs come alive. The synergy of models and stylists, as well as watching the final looks stride down the runway, knowing I contributed to the vision, is immensely satisfying.
As someone who also mentors young artists, what is the one piece of advice you always share with those starting out in the beauty industry?
Stay fiercely authentic. Hone your craft, embrace challenges, and remain curious. Keep learning, adapt to trends without losing your voice, and nurture your artistic identity. It’s the signature that distinguishes your work in an ever-evolving industry.
Outside of work, what are the simple joys or rituals that keep you feeling balanced and creatively energised?
I recharge through movement, whether dancing or aerobics, and through culinary exploration, baking, and healthy cooking. Music, films, educational podcasts, and spiritual talks nourish my mind, while caring for animals feeds my soul. One of my dreams is to establish an NGO for animal welfare, a way to extend creativity and compassion beyond my professional canvas.
