According to WWD, Diesel Creative Director Glenn Martens is going to launch a new sustainable line. Its name is Diesel Library and it will make a part of the Italian brand’s sustainable development program.
The first Diesel Library models will be presented at the brand’s virtual show, which will take place on June 21 within the framework of Milan Fashion Week. The debut collection will include denim items made from organic cotton and recycled fabrics, dyed using innovative technologies including environmentally friendly substances. In the future, Martens is going to expand the range of the line, covering other areas.
Each item will receive a special QR code with detailed information about its origin.
Glenn Martens says the following: “We want our denim to be as clean as possible. As a second step, we want to tell about it entertainingly, raising consumer awareness.”
