Balenciaga unveils an unexpected collaboration with Britney Spears
The silence of the club breaks with the opening notes of Oops!… I Did It Again. No glitter, no pink. Just a faded black tee with an archival Britney photo. This isn’t 2000s pop nostalgia. This is the new face of Balenciaga Music.
Demna’s final collection for Balenciaga doesn’t end with a runway. It ends with a cult moment. Titled Exactitudes, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection feels like a curated memory — sharp, emotional, deliberate. And at the heart of it: a capsule collaboration with Britney Spears.
Think zip-up hoodies, oversized tees, silk poster-flags signed by Britney herself, and studded caps — all processed to look aged, worn, like vintage tour merch. But elevated, in that distinctly Balenciaga way — where pop culture becomes a quiet, ironic monument.
Alongside the drop, Britney curates a personal playlist on Balenciaga Music. And French composer BFRND releases an EP titled Britney4ever, featuring remixes of Gimme More and Oops!… I Did It Again, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the latter.
This collection sits on the edge — between fashion and sound, archive and present, brand and fanbase.
And the real question it leaves us with: who will inherit this language of iconic subversion?
