Caue Marques arrived in Dubai the way a great makeup artist approaches a face with quiet certainty, a trained eye, and the understanding that what he is about to do has never been only about surfaces.
Recently arrived in Dubai, I find myself stepping into a city that reflects so much of what has shaped me as an artist: vision, ambition, sophistication, and constant evolution.Art, in my case, has never been only about makeup. It is about knowing how to read each face, understand its expression, and reveal something deeper through it. Makeup is simply the medium. What truly interests me is transformation, not only in appearance, but in presence, confidence, and identity.
My story began in a very intimate and genuine way, through the women in my family.I was born and raised in Passos, a city in the countryside of Minas Gerais, Brazil. More than my hometown, it became the foundation of my artistic identity. It was there that I was first embraced as a professional, where I started building my name, developing my signature, and taking part in fashion campaigns that marked the beginning of my career.At 13, I would watch my mother and my sisters getting ready. Without even realizing it, I became part of that ritual. I would take care of their hair, adjust details, and refine each look. My grandmother was also one of my first clients. She would always call me to do her hair, and in many ways, she played an essential role in the beginning of my journey.
At that time, I was not thinking about profession or career. I was simply fascinated by the silent power of transformation.Looking back now, I understand that this was where everything truly began.From an early age, I developed a refined eye for light, for balance, and for the elegance that lives in subtlety. I became deeply interested in the way beauty can transform not just the way someone looks, but the way they carry themselves, the way they feel, and even the way they are perceived.
To me, beauty has never been just aesthetic.
Beauty is revelation.
It is about allowing someone to see themselves in their most elevated and authentic version. That idea became the foundation of my work and continues to guide me today.
Over the years, I refined my technique with discipline, dedication, and sensitivity, building a solid career as a professional makeup artist with a strong focus on brides and fashion. Working with brides has always been especially meaningful to me because it is where emotion, trust, precision, and timeless elegance all come together.At the same time, fashion allowed me to expand my artistic language in a different way. Through fashion campaigns and work with models, I learned how to translate beauty in front of the camera and within highly demanding creative environments. I also had the opportunity to be part of projects connected to luxury maisons such as Dior and Louis Vuitton, which further shaped my eye and strengthened my commitment to sophistication, authenticity, and excellence.
As my career evolved, so did my world.
Working in countries such as Italy, Spain, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic broadened my creative vision in ways I will always carry with me. Each place introduced me to a different expression of beauty, a different rhythm, and a different understanding of elegance. These experiences shaped not only my technique, but also my artistic sensitivity.They taught me something I believe deeply today: beauty is never singular. It is cultural, emotional, and constantly evolving.
Moving to Dubai felt like a natural next step.
This is a city that represents excellence, ambition, and expansion. It is a place where luxury is not only admired, but expected. That energy speaks to me deeply, because I have never been someone who was searching for comfort. I have always been searching for growth, for new challenges, and for new ways to evolve both personally and professionally.Dubai embraces that ambition.
Dior Takes Over: Master Class
Today, at 29, I carry with me every place that has been part of my journey, especially the city where it all began. Deep down, the boy from the countryside of Brazil is still here. The difference is that now he stands in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, holding his brushes with more experience, more intention, and the same passion that first drew him to beauty all those years ago.
What I do today is still rooted in that same feeling.
I want people to feel unforgettable.
That, more than anything, is what my work is about. Not simply creating beauty for the moment, but creating something that feels true, elevated, and lasting.
