Kunal Sharma: 25 Years of Power, Presence, and Reinvention

25.03.2026

Kunal Sharma is a dynamic force at the intersection of fashion, fitness, acting, and lifestyle wellness, with a career spanning more than 25 years. Known for his discipline, presence, and constant evolution, he has built a name that reflects both strength and sophistication. Moving seamlessly between Dubai and India, Kunal continues to inspire through a journey defined by resilience, purpose, and lasting impact.

You’ve spent over 25 years at the intersection of fashion and fitness. In your own words, what does it mean to live at that crossroads, and why do you believe the two are inseparable?
Fashion and fitness are deeply interconnected. They elevate and validate each other.
You may build an impressive physique, but without the style and confidence to present it, the effort remains incomplete. In the same way, refined fashion demands presence. It requires posture, balance, and inner strength to carry it with authenticity.
This is not about extreme muscles. It is about discipline, alignment, and self-respect. When you step into minimal clothing, there is no illusion. Only lifestyle and truth are visible.
Fashion captures attention.
Fitness earns respect.
Together, they create impac

Your personal philosophy is “it’s not the destination that counts, it’s the process.” How has that belief carried you through the more difficult chapters of your career?
Transformation is forged through refinement.
Gold becomes jewellery only after enduring intense heat. Life follows the same principle. Pressure, rejection, discomfort, and failure are not punishments. They are preparation.
Growth happens when you are willing to withstand the fire. The process shapes resilience long before success becomes visible.
In the end, you do not simply achieve results. You emerge stronger, refined, and unbreakable.

You started like many young men, chasing size and muscle. What was the moment you realized that true fitness was something far deeper than the way you looked in the mirror?
In my early years, fitness culture was centered around size and heavier lifting. Science was limited, and aesthetics were often confused with mastery.
Over time, the industry evolved. Research replaced myths. Training became intelligent and structured.

The wellness industry has changed dramatically over 25 years. Where do you think it got things wrong, and what does a smarter, more functional approach to fitness actually look like in practice?
The modern wellness culture often prioritizes speed over sustainability. People seek rapid transformation instead of long-term health.
Excessive supplements, shortcuts, and chemical enhancements may deliver temporary results, but they compromise long-term wellbeing.
At the same time, constant digital exposure disrupts sleep cycles, hormones, and mental clarity. The consequences are visible in metabolic disorders and in rising levels of anxiety and emotional instability.
There is no shortcut to health. No technology can replace discipline. A functional approach returns to fundamentals. Structured training, proper recovery, balanced nutrition, and consistency remain the foundation.

From cover shoots to corporate wellness programs, your reach has been remarkably wide. Which of your projects or collaborations has left the deepest mark on you personally, and why?
It is difficult to isolate one defining moment. Every project has contributed to my growth.
Each milestone challenged me in a different way. Each experience added depth.
Success is rarely defined by a single achievement. It is shaped by the accumulation of lessons over time.

The Tata Sky Fitness Channel in 2017 brought your work into living rooms across India. What did it mean to you to make professional fitness guidance that accessible to everyday people?
The Tata Sky Active Fitness Channel remains one of the most meaningful achievements of my life.
It was not about visibility alone. It was about impact. Professional guidance entered homes daily, helping thousands of families adopt healthier habits.
What made it special was accessibility. It simplified fitness and removed uncertainty.

Dubai gave you your first international opportunity two decades ago. How has the city shaped the man and the professional you are today, and what do you see when you look at how far it has come?
Dubai provided my first international platform nearly twenty-five years ago. It gave me opportunity, structure, and belief.
Watching the city evolve has been inspiring. Beyond luxury and growth, Dubai represents safety, efficiency, and long-term vision. It values discipline and respect.
Progress here is not only about wealth. It is about stability and trust.
This land offered me a beginning, and I remain grateful.

You now operate between Dubai and India, two very different worlds in terms of lifestyle and culture. How do you carry your identity across both without losing yourself in either?
I approach every place with respect. When you do that, culture and language open naturally.
India gave me roots. It taught me discipline and resilience. Dubai gave me expansion and opportunity.
One grounds me. The other elevates me. Together, they shape balance.

Fashion fades, trends shift, and the industry can be unforgiving with time. What has kept you not just relevant but dominant across so many decades?
The formula is simple. Discipline and consistency.
Stay committed even when no one is watching. Continue learning. Adapt to change.
When discipline becomes habit and growth becomes lifestyle, relevance follows naturally.

If a young man from Mumbai came to you today with the same fire you had at the start, what is the one thing you would tell him that nobody told you?
Stay hungry.
Hungry for growth. Hungry for knowledge. Hungry for progress.
Complacency begins when hunger fades. But when you remain driven, life continues to move you forward.
Hunger sharpens you.
Hunger humbles you.
Hunger keeps you unstoppable.
